Felix is coming to Florida

Felix is coming to the Tampa Bay area over Thanksgiving and will be doing a limited number of photoshoots. He will be in the area from the 24th of November until early December. This will be his last trip to the area before Christmas so this is the chance to get your beautiful photos ready for Christmas. Among other projects, he’ll be shooting:
- Family Portraits & Christmas Cards
- Personal portrait & publicity sessions
- Headshots
Slots are filling up fast and his time in the area is limited. Now is the chance to get him to take your amazing christmas card images or photographs of yourself, family or friends as gifts at christmas.

Felix Kunze is an international portrait and documentary photographer. After having spent 6 months covering giant catastrophes like Haiti, shooting various magazine features and covering some of Europe’s biggest music and fashion events, Felix is currently in New York on an internship with internationally renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz. He’s taking a break from his internship to spend some time in warmer climates and catch up with friends over thanksgiving.

Portraiture – May and June 2010
My recent efforts have been in the area of doing documentary style photography like my projects in Haiti and coverage of the Roskilde Music Festival while also developing what I am doing in the field of portraiture. This is a little showcase of some of the work over the last few months. This doesn’t include work shot for magazine editorials of which there are a couple that I can’t wait to show! But they have to wait until they have gone into print.
I’ve been working to shoot portraiture that was strong and meaningful and also working in environmental portraiture, IE people in a work or life situation. Essentially a picture that tells a story about a person.
In a way, each of the images below does communicate a part of each person’s persona. A model still communicates a certain aspect of their own personality, no matter how much make-up is thrown on them, they are always putting across an aspect of their personality. There is a certain truth to it.

Amy P Personal Portrait Session
This one was a lot of fun. We rode on Amy’s wave-runner to get to a small Island in the intercoastal waterway off Clearwater Beach. and shot there using the awesome gnarled old tree.
Kevin and his Guitar
I shot Florida Guitar & Ukulele musician Kevin Patrick a couple of weeks ago. I used some sneaky lighting techniques to achieve this light, it’s amazing what you can achieve with just one speedlight.
