What is this portrait studio project about?

This portrait studio project is led by photographer Felix Kunze, who has been providing his services to the club for free since 2015.

How is the project funded?

We receive no funds from the club - Felix personally covers all the costs associated with the project out of pocket and relies on print sales and digital licenses to recoup those expenses.

How will I receive the images?

All images will be sent to your email address in low resolution and are intended for social media use only. However, they can also be licensed for other purposes, including websites. It is important to provide us with a working and legible email address when you fill out your model release.

Can I order prints, high-resolution images, retouching, and usage licenses?

Yes, you can order prints, high-resolution images, retouching, and usage licenses online at www.felixkunze.com (look for 'projects - Explorers Club’). The page to order prints will be available once you’ve received the images in your inbox.

Can Felix and his team refuse to photograph someone?

Yes, Felix and his team reserve the right to refuse to photograph anyone for any reason. We kindly ask for your respect as their time is limited, and not everyone may be able to be photographed. Rude behavior will result in denial of photographs and cancellation of your time slot (if assigned).

How are shoot slots assigned?

Shoot slots are assigned to those on our list and are by appointment only. Unfortunately, exceptions cannot be made to this policy. The list has been carefully planned in collaboration with the club to prioritize our VIPs and awardees. We will also focus on photographing specific people in alignment with the event's theme of conservation.

What should I do if I have any disputes regarding the list?

If you have any disputes, we kindly request that you bring them up with our crew in a polite manner. We have a process in place to resolve disputes, but while this occurs, we will ask you to write your table number on the model release and allow us to follow our procedures. Someone from our team will come get you if you have been added to the list. Please note that due to time constraints we can not make any guarantees.

To clear up a dispute, it helps us to have as much info about you as possible.  Information such as ‘have you recently been on flag expedition’, ‘Are you a member of the society of forgotten explorers’. We will appreciate as much information as we can get, even if it’s a little awkward for us to ask!

Even so, please be understanding that we cannot accommodate everyone.
